OUTSTANDING OPPORTUNITY FOR TECHNICAL SPECIALIST TO MOVE INTO IT RISK/AUDIT

	This large Bank is recognised as a market leader and through its strategic investment in technology is positioned to drive major new business initiatives and product innovation. This diverse role incorporates consulting, analysis and process improvement. You will manage operational risk assessments and independent reviews of critical technology business areas and projects, processes and systems. Importantly, you will be involved in strategic consultation and relationship management with key senior stakeholders in the business units. Successful candidates will be tertiary degree qualified and ideally CISA certified. You will have gained relevant experience in IT Security or in an IT technical or QA role in a large IT enterprise such as a Bank or Corporate. Alternatively, you may have gained IT consulting experience in a Big 4 or management consulting firm ideally at the level of Senior or Manager. The role will appeal to candidates with a passion for driving and delivering technically complex risk/assessment programmes within ITIL/ COBIT frameworks. Naturally, you are highly analytical with strong conceptual thinking skills and the ability to communicate, present and negotiate effectively at senior levels. Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse Analyst

Harris Scarfe is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) expert who also has technical and team leadership experience. As the organisation undergoes a strong growth phase, all these skills will be required in this role.


Reporting to the IT Applications Manager this position is responsible for the ongoing management, operation, maintenance and development of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Environment.
The focus will be on identifying business needs and managing all aspects of implementing solutions in an Oracle and Microstrategy based environment.

We will also require a person who can range from being the sole resource on a project; including gathering requirements and implementing a solution to leading a team and coordinating external resources.



Responsibilities:

•Provide Business Analysis skills
•Develop and Architect Business Intelligence Solutions
•Provide user support of the BI environment


Requirements:

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

•5 – 10 years of IT work experience
•Experience in a Retail environment is desired.
•Microstrategy or SAP BW experience will be highly regarded.
•Have extensive knowledge of data warehouse design and star schemas
•Have some experience with an ETL tool
•Have experience in Oracle RDBMS, SQL and PL/SQL
•Have strong analytical skills and demonstrate creativity in solutions
•Demonstrate understanding of multi-dimensional database design and architecture
•Demonstrate a sservice oriented culture and flexibility
•Be able to inspire confidence in and able to work with people at all levels
•Be able to work both on own initiative and as a team player
